About · KoiGlide

My father kept fish. There was always an aquarium at home when I was growing up — changing the water, feeding them, watching them swim. Growing up around all that is probably where this pond began.

No fish in the pond is a ready-made asset — the colors and patterns follow the koi breeds documented in the professional literature, each one is drawn by the program in real time, and no two are exactly alike; their cruising, feeding and schooling are modeled on real koi behavior, the water shifts with the hour of the day, and light and shadow are recalculated every frame.

The background music is all original, and the stream sound — that is something I recorded one autumn afternoon in 2026, sitting by a stream in Zhejiang, China.

This is a one-person creation: the design, code and support all come from the same independent developer. No team, no funding, and updates may be slow — but every release is used by its maker first.

It is sold in the simplest way possible: $4.99 once. No subscription, no ads, no personal data collection. Once installed, it quietly runs in the background on your desktop.

May there be a quiet pond on your desktop, too.
