How much CPU and memory does it use?
The pond is rendered procedurally in real time — no video decoding and no looping video playback. It runs smoothly even on modest hardware. Real usage varies by machine, so the quickest answer is to try it for a few days on your own PC.
How do I activate it? Can I use it offline afterwards?
After purchase you receive a License Key. On first launch, activate once online by entering the key in the app’s license screen. The app then downloads the full asset set in the background; once that finishes, the license is stored on your device and the app runs fully offline — daily use never calls a server.
How many computers can one license cover?
One License Key can be activated on up to 3 devices you own. When you replace a computer, just deactivate the old device in settings and activate the new one — no extra purchase needed.
Purchases, refunds & updates
Can I get a refund?
The app is a digital product, so refunds are generally not available without a specific reason. If it doesn’t run properly on your device, email support within 7 days of purchase; once verified we’ll help fix the issue or refund you. Refunds go back through the payment platform to your original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days.
Features & data
Does the weather feature upload my data?
Clock and desktop information stay local. The weather feature uses your own OpenWeatherMap API key, and requests go from your device directly to OpenWeatherMap — never through this site or the developer’s servers.
Do I pay again for updates? Is macOS supported?
It’s a one-time purchase — new versions can be downloaded free from this site. Currently Windows 10/11 (64-bit) only; macOS is not currently planned.
What’s the difference between the free and paid versions?
The free version includes the slate-stone pond bed, the base lotus scenery and up to 3 koi, and can be used free indefinitely. A new device also gets a 3-day trial with the jade-ripples pond bed and all ambient sounds. Purchasing unlocks the remaining 4 pond beds, the seasonal lotus art, the complete original music and ambient soundscapes, plus live weather sync, and raises the koi limit to 30. When the trial ends the app simply returns to the free version — no action needed, and the fish you drew and your settings are kept.
I lost my License Key. What should I do?
Your key is sent to the email address you used at checkout. First search your inbox and spam folder (try “KoiGlide”). If you still can’t find it, email [email protected] from the email address used for the purchase, and I’ll verify the payment and send the key again.
